Receptor and Cameleon?

I've loaded most of my plugs and cross-graded to Receptor versions on others but I'm stumped on how to get Cameleon to work. It's not listed as known to work but I've seen a couple threads that at least one person got it to work. How? It fails when I try. I've installed it on a Windows machine, registered it and then dragged it over to the directory but when it scans it, it fails. Camel Audio said that it works but I have to increase the buffer to 256. I've removed the failed flagged DLL and then reset the cache via the MULTI/POWER switch trick. I've checked that the license text file is in the proper directory, too.

Anybody? :help:

TC? Are you out there? You're the guru! :hail:

Yeah..I can't get it to work either( and I started those other threads :-) But Robert DID get it to work, but he just did what we did ( what you said above)so go figure. :? WE are hoping that now that the latest version of cameleon is out, it can be receptorized. This was the Number one synth I REALLY wanted on receptor.

I'm keen to help, but I don't have a Receptor to test with. I know that the Muse guys have looked into this, and I know they had it working OK, but there were some complications. Could someone from Muse Research please clarify what the situation is exactly?

Thanks
Ben

Me too! Before I purchased the Receptor, I checked with all the vendors of the synths I had and they all said they worked. It's not a show-stopper, though. Again, I'm selfish that I want all my plugs to work on the thing so I can perform without a computer attached to it.

I'm pleased that you replied. I don't know how you find the time with all the stuff you do. Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it.

Hi Ben,

Farhan tells me that he got an email from you July 21, saying that as soon as the new versions of all Camel products will be available you will send us a copy. It's true that we didn't follow up, but if you send those to us, we will start working on them ASAP.

Cameleon 5000 (v1.6) works fine, although you can't enter your registration details directly on Receptor as this causes it to lock up (requiring a hard reboot). So, you must register Cameleon 5000 in your PC first and then copy the CA5000Config.txt file over to your Receptor.

well..tried that. Basically just copied my C5000 folder over to the unsupported folder on Receptor. It simply fails when i try to install it.TRied clearing out the cashe,ect...no go ... Guess it works on some receptors and others not. :-(

hmm, I'm on a newer (not yet publicly released) version of the OS. Sit tight, I'm sure it'll be OK once Receptor v1.4 is out.
