krhm,
just oughta remind you guys,
modelling a 9v marshall distortion pedal with basic waveshaping and biquad filters is pretty far from amp simulation... even if it has cartoony orange amp graphics.

MMH
I was very interested the fact that i saw a "spring" knob : does that mean that we could now have a really good spring reverb emulation as a vst ?
I think that i have tried many of them, and none of them were convincing... Will you focus on the sound quality of the reverb, or jsut put a "standard" SE module, to use the spring feature only as a "addon" feature of the plugin ?

well when you read the first post it simply stated that I wanted duncan to implement the CONTOUR knob into the amp he's doing... and hence the amp GUIs...
but Kingston I honestly thought you don't like my GUIs and that you said I need to learn some colorschemethingys or whatever you called them....

Don't you get it? He just wanted to start a thread about the Shredmaster as an excuse to talk about his new amp sim. The ol' "bait and switch". I wonder why he didn't just start a thread about his new amp sim? Oh yeah...because there's a thousand of them and no one cares.Kingston wrote:krhm,

I guarantee it won't sound anything like a Shredmaster in an A/B type comparison. Probabaly won't sound like an old Valvestate either.

nevermind that, I'm a minority. hope you guys pull off a good amp sim. and I was slow to realise you guys were actually doing an ampsim until duncan chimed in.multree wrote:but Kingston I honestly thought you don't like my GUIs and that you said I need to learn some colorschemethingys or whatever you called them....
And in that case your amp gfx ARE good. (just not for a mere shredmaster like I thought you guys were doing)

hi lunch money
Yes, "lo contour" thing is something i'm looking after, but a nice spring reverb emulation is much more something i'm cfaving for..

Back again...
Right. The spring will be a custom springline model. I'm taking into account longitudinal vibration, and a simulated latitudinal component as well. Even if you think it sounds pants, it will be BBA pants, so that'll be cool!
wrt to the contour/filtering - I have plans... Chorrosive has gone down well with those who've used it, so I can't be that bad at design
Advancing will be slow for a while - dayjob is vvvvbusy!!
Oh yes, and it will be delphi (not SE or SM) and if all goes well, I'll make the code available to the other buggers for a mac port
DSP
