Hmm, that doesn't sound like DC offset. I've never known it to cause humming. Sure it's not electrical hum? If so, a sharp notch at 50hz or 60hz (depending on where you live) might do the trick.djsubject wrote:i think its dc removal now you askjupiter8 wrote:Stupid question....

A HPF will get rid of the DC... Try something like Bias SoundSoap of you have to remove more than that. Or a harmonic notch filter... or, just re-record if it is that bad.

I believe TobyBear Productions has a plugin called "DC Killer" that also functions to get rid of a few other problems besides DC Offset. Try that out.

just tested it with "DC supressor" as the setting on every track first point after the audio source

there is no "this setting does it for everything", just like when using compressors. i suggest you just trust your ears and perhaps some analyzers while tweaking it.
