Use a high pass filter, set it as low as it goes and that will do the trick.

Hmm, that doesn't sound like DC offset. I've never known it to cause humming. Sure it's not electrical hum? If so, a sharp notch at 50hz or 60hz (depending on where you live) might do the trick.

A HPF will get rid of the DC... Try something like Bias SoundSoap of you have to remove more than that. Or a harmonic notch filter... or, just re-record if it is that bad.

I believe TobyBear Productions has a plugin called "DC Killer" that also functions to get rid of a few other problems besides DC Offset. Try that out.

HPF! Why do you need something named DC remover to remove DC?

I've had a question about Audio Healer . . . What would you suggest as a good cut off freq for both HF and LF?
I try to care and understand.

that depends on the audio that you process. ;)
there is no "this setting does it for everything", just like when using compressors. i suggest you just trust your ears and perhaps some analyzers while tweaking it.

If you can hear it, it's an alternating current (AC) and not a decent one ;-)

There is also DCOffsetKiller
