Perhaps so. I can certainly relate to the desire to have an accurate model of a particular piece of gear that I like. In fact, I sent some of my own stomp boxes to Italy for them to model such as my vintage Fuzzface, CE-1 and MXR pedals. I didn't send any of my amps but of course I love the amps that have been modeled (AC30 is probably my favorite... and the Supro for that Zep sound).Cosmic Bandito wrote:Squids wrote:being able to mix and match components of modeled Vox, Marshall, Mesa, Fender, THD, Supro and others is REALLY, REALLY cool! I think many of us, who are very familiar with the current state of Amp sims, would be happier to have 1 stunningly realistic amp model (even if it was original and not modeled after something vintage), than the ability to mix and match virtual models that don't have that special "something" we all know is missing. But we will have to wait and see if it lives up the hype...
Well, I don't know about a demo you can try in your studio. Although, most IK products do have one so I'd expect something one way or another. Just a guess.AndrewSimon wrote:Squids wrote:By all means, check it out when it is in stores (and I don't know about demo versions, I was just saying that I think it will be something you can try out in a store which is what some people say they like to do before they buy).what? who?
Yeah, I love to demo software at my local Guitar Center, so much better with the unfamiliar, half broken equipment they have, not to mention the lovely background noise.
Now why would anybody prefer to do it in their own studio?![]()
OK so I will asume this means possibly no demo, big dongle.... boy this thing better sound great.
So what about the DI box? I know it wasn't formaly announced but IK did say in a press release:
besides the floor pedal we will have a few "hardware supprises" at NAMM
yes, you're right, sqwitz! the best sqwitz-post, I read so far in the last years...Squids wrote:It's only a plug-in after all!
