in a future update would it be possible to get like a click and hold then drag... to select audio parts, instead of the normal way of moving the start and end bars?

Hrm?

Your request doesn't seem too clear. Are you talking about selecting or moving? Multiple? In what way?

Try this, though: Hold the "Alt" key, which will make your cursor into a crosshair, and then select multiple audio parts. When you press "Alt", it has to be on an 'empty space' in a track, not over top of a clip. Does that help?

To me it sounds like he wants a sort of "range" tool like other hosts. To select a section of a wave. As opposed to adjusting the borders.

I dont really think it would fit the whole tracktion non-destructive way of working necessarily.

by the way... when i over lap sounds in tracktion on one track, ie: a double crash sound, would the two tail ends of the crashes play without one being cut off by the other?

you can layer as many clips as you want on a single track.

Conversely, if you want to remove overlaps, there is an option in the properties panel for automatically trimmign overlapping clips.
