Since you have access to no high gain amps, how can you possibly tell?Midiworks wrote:Now suddenly I was able to model any high gain amp

You mentioned FX. So, what effects are there? Are you talking about Reverb, Chorus, Delay, Flange, Phaser, Compression, Gate, etc., etc., etc... or are you referring to something else?Midiworks wrote:You will glurgle.
Even see something soon.
Please understand, this new engine changed everything !
1st there was my nice distortion and amp sound. (the old mp3 demos)
Then we added FX ect.
It was just a better amp sim than what was there at that time.
But I wanted something more, something different.
Then in nov/december when we were flodded here, I had time, (no Pc/net)
to think everything over.
Some ideas came up, and as crazy as it is, they worked !
Now suddenly I was able to model any high gain amp
with such accuracy, that it is frightening.
But what now ?
There we have a amp sim that is lightyears ahead of ANY other,
how to use this advantage right ?
This was the question that we had to ask ourself.
So a new concept was thought out,
new amp models are made,
a new gui, ect.
We have been listening to all the suggestions here and discused them,
also addopted some of those ideas.
You will have your amp, I promisse.
I would have to disagree with that.... those common FX can be found all over the place free of charge (Kjaerhusaudio for example), it would be better for Rene not to spend much time on those. He should concentrate on the amps and some speciffic guitar gadgets like wah, overdrive stuff like OD1 TS9..., compression-sustainer for example...audiojunkie wrote: You mentioned FX. I ask this, because it would be really nice to have everything all in one plug.

Yes, we think the same.mman wrote:I would have to disagree with that.... those common FX can be found all over the place free of charge (Kjaerhusaudio for example), it would be better for Rene not to spend much time on those. Just my opinion....
Yes, thats how it works.spuddle wrote:I wonder if Rene can simulate adding an overdrive pedal in front of the amp that actually would then have the same emulation of driving those tubes? That would be a clincher for me. Your money is mine
I guess they take our work already very serious.daGuru wrote:Well, I believe Midiworks is definitely on the right track. One tip tho', lose Synthedit, only then will you be taken seriously by the industry
Sounds to me like a thin-out guitar sound.(EQ)cheul wrote:While you're still working on the beast, may I ask/suggest something about the wah effect : could you give an option to get this particular character wah. I know May's treble booster has something to do as well, but man, what a bite.
All this sounds very promising MW, but I suggest that you don't wait too long before making "official" statement or update the website; and release some info such as release date and some pics of the new GUI... If you believe your product is way ahead of others, present it and advertise it at least as others do...Midiworks wrote:The amp will NOT be a one time wonder, but a concept that will let you xpand the amp to YOUR needs.
er... kind of a quick response here. Maybe the thin sound has something to do with the fact it is played in 1972 through a TREBLE booster (as I mentionned !). I was talking of the bite of the wah, that is to say, the aggressive action it has on the sound while the pedal is sweeping... it really has to do with the pedal (not the eq), and it wasn't a crybaby. I don't remember being able to achieve this with a crybaby (I don't have one at disposition currently).Midiworks wrote: Sounds to me like a thin-out guitar sound.(EQ)
To create those or other sound caracters,
is YOUR job, not the amp job.
I agree totaly with you.Melodioso wrote:All this sounds very promising MW, but I suggest that you don't wait too long before making "official" statement or update the website; and release some info such as release date and some pics of the new GUI... I rather like to add different WahWah's over time.About the wah, it would be great to have parameters to control the Q/range and the frequency of the wah! I think you already did the classic Cry-Baby, but if you can put your hands on one of those, maybe for an update?
No, not really.cheul wrote:er... kind of a quick response here. Maybe the thin sound has something to do with the fact it is played in 1972 through a TREBLE booster (as I mentionned !).
