I can not record from the S/PDIF output of the card to my matering deck. I would much rather burn a master on it. It is a Dennon DM-550R.
I have set the input on the Dennon to digital but to no avail. Then when I check the card out put only the 1/2w is showing any out put. the S/PDIF does not have any output on the meter at all.
Any ideas?

Yup, you have to tell the card what the sync source is, and the two have to share the same sample-rate.
You'd think these settings should be in the S/PDIF tab, but have a look at the "Hardware Settings" tab. I have mine set to use "S/PDIF In" as the master clock, but that's not always going to be the case.

I did as you said Lunch Money and I had signal for a moment then it stopped. It will not unlock it says locked just Single and sync is chosen and the buffer is 384. This has got me stumped. I want to make a good master but this is driving me a little up a wall. I don't have much hair left so there is nothing to pull out.

Just trying to learn about recording, that is if my head is not too hard.

Lunch Money thanks for the help. I don't know how I could have forgotten to do that.
