We have updated Winds, Kong, and Erhu to ChineeKong V2.64, ChineeWinds V1.55 and ChineeErhu V1.02. It's not a major update but might be handy for some users.

Due to some email server issues in the past few days (a bad timing that was,) some of you may have not received the udpate notification. Please contact us directly if that's the case.

Edited for correction.

About 'the server was hacked by a spammer', you probably mean that it had an 'open relay'?

Anyways, thanks for the update :)

Cool. Excellent plugs that keep getting better. Why isn't everyone talking about these things? By far the niftiest, most unique and downright fun Chinese instrument samples I have found. And it's a good thing, too, because I still can't play my danged bamboo flutes!

(By the way, I wonder if you guys can tell me what that little one-stringed instrument is that I see everywhere? I bought one, and was told it was played with a bow...but what note is it tuned to...if any?)

I think you're talking about an Erhu Scot? I don't know what note to tune it to or how to play one or anything :)

It might be! If it is, then I'll just use the Kong Audio version... :)

Scot, I asked Shan and he wasn't sure. Is there a picuture or something for us to see? It's hard to say based on the description.

@EJ, You are right, the server wasn't hacked. We were told by the server provider that there's a script being exploited by a spammer - which was addressed immediately by the server provider as well(big thanks to spe3d for the reponsiveness). But anyhow that resulted in some mail cap as a countermeasure which happened at the same time as we tried to send out the update notifcations plus something else also happened at the time... In short, everything's resolved now, and should remain smooth from here on.

OK, an 'open relay' isn't quite as horrible as hacking.
Your email servers gets banned for a few days, to stop the spamming, but you do not loose incoming emails; the outgoing emails are stopped/postponed.

'Hacking' usually means that people get access to your files and can do on your PC what they want. I just wanted to point out that your problem was not in this category.

I understand it was not nice, but it was not harmful.
