No, I think you read it right.....but I guess you could find a copy of B4 on sale somewhere and buy that. Then register in on Receptor and upgrade.
That's what I did....well except for the upgrade part. Not sure if you could dig up B4 (as opposed to B4 II) but it would be worth a shot.

Hi gang

I'm discussing this with NI to see what we can work out to make it easy on everyone. The good thing is that we know who bought B4 (since it was done through plugorama) so it is a matter of making sure there is a valid upgrade path to follow when purchasing the B4II upgrade.

Stay tuned...

Yes, If i was buying the B4 already on there, it would'nt be for upgrade purposes. So far I'v had no problems installing software and I fear going down the upgrade route would tarnish that somewhat. Just wondering if it's that big an improvement on the B4 2. I'll buy the B4 2 + controller bundle if it is. I just dont want to buy it now, if it's another month or more away, I can use the cash for something else :)

AS far as whether the B4II is a big improvement: I can't really offer too much of an expert opinion on that. We showed B4II running on Receptor at NAMM. It ran really efficiently, but the same can be said of the original B4. What I did notice is that it seemed to have a lot more presets that captured the B4 in some of its more bluesy and ballsy moments... perhaps a lot more soulful than the original B4. I heard similar comments from some of the artists that played it in our booth; they liked that fact that it was had some presets that were a bit more nasty, which is nice for rock organ...

That's just one data point, however, and sadly this will be a "user-installable" plug-in for Receptor, which means that you won't have a demo period, and you'll have to have purchased the installation discs at retail to install it on Receptor. Hopefully we'll install in on dealer demo units so you can at least check it out in a store running on Receptor before making your decision...

Alriiiiiight! Guess I'm going to try receptor live for the first time this weekend! Thank you!

What city are you in farhan? Maybe I can get you some gift certificates for the espressos? I don't think mailing them to you would work too well :P

OK I got it (B4ii) in receptor. How do I organize the presets? On my Mac all I have to do is drag them in the preset window then hit protect and it saves them to the slots I dragged them to. Its not saving on receptor though. It reverts back to the factory preset order.

Here is what we are hoping to do: if you have purchased B4 on Receptor, then you will be eligible to purchase the B4 to B4II upgrade directly from Muse Research. It us up to the developer to allow you to do a reverse crossgrade from Receptor to your Mac or PC for products that are pre-installed.

That being said, B4 II will be a "user installable" plug-in, so you just purchase it from your store and install it just like you would Kontakt or Guitar Rig. Since Receptor would use up one of your licenses, you'd have one more available for use on your Mac or PC.
