More problems :( It causes an error when it's scanned by soundforge 8 (it's a "safe" error wherein it doesn't crash, just reports an issue with oatmeal.dll. As it's not a vsti host (SF) it doesn't matter (although the fact an error is reported at all is something i'm sure you'd loove to know :P ) The real problem is, and that's me just got round to testing it in acid, but it crashes that completely...it scans for it fine, and adds it to the vsti list fine, but on loading oatmeal into a track a crash error report pops up, and when you either send it or close it acid just bails altogether (as in a complete shutdown....acid50.exe unloaded etc.) If there's any (more) info i can give, then i'm more than happy to. It's the latest "big gui" version of oatmeal i have.

Yeah, I have the same problem with the Cakewalk Wrapper. It gets to Oatmeal then crashes out. Tried all the versions of Oatmeal, same thing.
Using it in EnergyXT is ok though.

I've made a preset bank fro Oatmeal, made it with the first version, I don't know if it will wokr with the latest one but anyway... here it is...

Yeah, what's that about? I've had more problems with these two apps than any others with VSTi plug-ins. I still use SF8 but uninstalled Acid Pro 5.x because of more than a few problems with loading plugs that no other host has. I have to wonder if their code is so tight that any variance in the DLL is a problem.

I didn't try Acid Pro because certain things about it are immensely aggravating (why would I want to have an SQL server constantly running just so I could use a trial version of some music software occasionally?), but I installed the Sonar 5 demo; while the wrapper seems slightly flaky, I haven't been able to make it crash yet, but I'm working on trying to reproduce or find the problem and then hopefully fixing it.

I have the same problem with Sonar5- the scan fails at Oatmeal. The wrapper does SEEM flaky to be sure, and its kind of annoying, but I can verify it is actually very solid in operation for the most part. I have only encountered one other plug besides Oatmeal that fails in the wrapper. I have been using eXT within Sonar as a workaround, but it would be great to have this synth on my main list within Sonar.

Good synth with much potential. Thoughful revisions could make this very special indeed.

I've been able to reproduce the wrapper scan crash now - unfortunately it doesn't actually crash anywhere in Oatmeal, but rather after it already seems to be done with it (after Oatmeal's destructor finishes running); so I suspect there's something really silly going on somewhere that I can't spot so far.

The crash is gone for me and a guy I know who uses Sonar. I've also done the displaying-the-patch-name-when-not-over-a-control thing. New version here.

Experiment with adding sliders!

Here are two sliders (red and blue) in use with the amp envelope. (Look at the bottom, remember this is an experiment.)

Code I added to the oms file. The slider is animated by moving the x and y position rather than creating 43 different sliders! Here is the slider.png.

The slider control actually only uses the first frame as a backdrop on top of which the handle is drawn.

Edit: oh, it's actually a slider-looking knob. Silly me. :)

Forgot to add: the fix that made it work in Sonar may help with Acid as well. Do tell me if it does. :)
