Can Receptor do midi mapping?

I played a bit with the amidi utility that comes with the alsa-utils package in Linux today. I couldn't however get amidi to send my sysexdata to the MIDI Thru port, it only worked on MIDI Out on the Receptor. (Also wine-preloader sort of had the /dev/midi00 locked, so I couldn't do a any of this while rm-host was running).

Anyway, I actually got an idéa how to implement this in a (relatively) simple way. All MULTI's on the Receptor are storead as FXP files (this is the Steinberg VST way to store patches, right?). So, without modifying the way to store things, the (if any) sysexdata could be stored in a simple text file along with the FXP file. For instance, if I load up the MULTI stored in "000-Rock Basic B3.fxp" rm-host would look for a corresponding "000-Rock Basic B3.syx" file and dump whatever data stored in that file to the MIDI Thru port.
