Computer ID changed after formatted HDD?

Hi,
I've formatted my HDD, partitioned the HDD so that 1 is dedicated for music stuffs (samples/vst plugins, etc...) But then somehow the computer ID have changed, and both ChineeWinds & Erhu won't accept my serial #... I don't know if partitioned the HDD made that happen or what else, because the last time I formatted my HDD, the ID didn't changed... I've tried to install it to the C:\ drive (instead of the partitioned "M:" drive) but no luck... Any idea?
