Paypal cart for upgrade is barfing:

I didn't have any problem with the Eve upgrade purchase, but that went to a direct order rather than through a cart, and was for Dash rather than Nusofting. I'll try it on a different machine just to make sure it's not something stuck in a cache etc.

Edit: nope, failed on another machine too, and I haven't gone to Nusofting or Paypal on that machine in at least a week.

maybe try with right click and open in a new window,

When I went to paypal upgrade from the catalog page rather than the product page, it worked fine. I'm not sure whether the pages act differently or (I suspect) a paypal botch. However, it worked for me just now.

Working fine in Sonar LE (though I haven't THOROUGHLY tested it yet). I never have any success with "reset" in the VST adapter. I renamed, then scanned with the "rescan existing plugins" (or whatever it is) option checked. It scans but doesn't make it all the way to the next step (the one where you see all the plugs listed and can change the properties of individual plugs). I open VST adapter again, uncheck "rescan existing plugins" and rescan. Everything works fine after that.

yes resetting VST adapter is not as easy as it should,

anyway the VST adapter reg key may be deleted for hard reset

hi liqih,

turns out it was a problem unique to the particular project i was working on. still not sure what is going on there, but:

the good news is it works fine now in other old SONAR projects.

A gripe first. As a registered user I expected some notification of an upgrade! If I didn't visit KVR I wouldn't have known..

About the upgrade, glad you've put an fx send to external device in - I suggested that from the very first release; but I need to know if the new sounds are more natural sounding as opposed to the electronic drum machine type sounds of 1.2

I love DK+ but have found it to be aimed more at the electronic musician.

Also, what new styles have been added?

absolutely the freshly inlcuded FE kit1a is totally acoustic,
no new electronic samples so far,

not much as new styles, sorry, only reggae2 for the FE kit1a

thanks guys, the manual should explain how to save, basically right click and save all patterns,
also look at a typical samba.dk+ seq in the library,

there is one samba.dk+ seq for each kit in the library,

so a style is made of many *.dk+ seq files,
and once you composed the patterns you have to make a version for each kit, since each kit got different sounds to map to the tracks

example method:

start with variation A: min 2 bars max 8 bars
make variation B: same bars as you chose for A
make C one bar version of A
make D one bar version of B
make E one bar fill A to B
make F one bar fill B to A
make G one bar intro
make H one bar ending
save all patterns in one *.dk+
