I should add:
You CANNOT install this Kontakt 2.1.1 update if you have Akoustik Piano 1.0.0.014 (build 3) installed on your Receptor. An updated version of Akoustik Piano to resolve this problem will be available shortly and will be required to be installed before installing this Kontakt 2.1.1 update.

Hi guys
I seem to have a problem with the installer and it is something I've probably done wrong.
The installation went fine but now I have in my plugin list:
Kontakt
Kontakt 2"16
Kontakt 2"8
Clicking on either of these will cause the receptor to reset. I have OS version 1.5.2xxx and don't have akoustik piano.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Kim

No, it upgrades the current installation if Kontakt is already installed.PhilAiken wrote:The directions seem to pertain starting from scratch. If you have Kontakt 2.0 installed, do you need to completely uninstall it first?
I'll get Farhan to answer the other queries as i don't know.

Hi,
No u dont need to uninstall the previous Kontakt 2 version on receptor. This does the upgrade as well as works as a first time installation.
Could u submit a ticket on plugorama with the install problem and let us look at what went wrong..
thanks

Sorry this has taken so long, but you'll be pleased to know that Kontakt 2.1 will be released for Receptor tomorrow. Sorry it took so long. And if you are going to the NAMM show, it should be available to check out in the FXpansion booth as well as the Audio Impressions booth.
Thanks for your patience, and thank you Farhan!

Hi,
Thanks for releasing the Kontakt 2.1.1 update. NI just released an update which allows the Elektrik Piano libraries to be used as Kontakt 2 instruments. I'd like to use this as I believe Elektrik Piano is using the older Kontakt1.5 sampler engine. Is there a plan to release a receptorized version of this update?
I tried copying the new and updated Elektrik Piano library files under "Samples/Native Instruments/Elektrik Piano Library" but when I try loading one of the new instruments I get a message stating "The library you're trying to load from does not seem to be registered properly". Is there an alternative way to have Kontakt2 recognize the new instrument files?
Thanks,
- peter

Hi guys
To let you know, we sorted out my crashing Kontakt. It was the fact that I only had 384mb of RAM at the time. As soon as I put in the 2gig everything was great.
The multiple Kontakt's are meant to be there, the kontakt 8 and kontakt 16 are the various multi outs versions.
I must comment on how great the Muse support crew are - fantastic help and follow up.
These guys are really behind there product!
Cheers
Kim

Hi Everyone,
I have the three Kontacts showing up for me. I have (somewhat) sucessfully been using the Kontakt (stereo) version. I crash receptor when trying to reset multis, and I also see Kontakt silently fail loads of large instruments (eg. LPC, etc). Other than this, Kontakt seems to be running and loading scripts just fine.
Ciao,
Kevin L.
