Using the Receptor LIVE for the first time!

well after having bought a receptor back in april, i'm FINALLY going to dare to use it live tomorrow night for the first time.
for the past year i've been using my laptop live. it's crashed on me twice during a show, which was pretty embarrasing.
it took me forever to figure out all of this midi stuff (like NPRN), and i STILL don't have it down, but i at least have a setup now that will do what i want it to. i'm using:
colossus
pro-53
guitar rig
glaceverb
free tremelo that came with the receptor
played it in practice last night and it seemed pretty stable. so hopefully no pops or clicks in the actual gig here in Austin, at the Saxon Pub.
one thing i still haven't figured out though is how to go to the 'next' or 'previous' presets in guitar rig. i want to just hit one button on my m-audio keystation pro 88 to go to the next patch in a bank for guitar rig. i don't want to have to hit program and send a program number. you know, just like those arrow buttons on the screen next to the patch name. anyone know how to do that? remember, i have no idea how to do that nprn stuff, and not really sure what msb and lsb does. basically all i know is how to program a fader, knob, or button to send a value between 0 and 127 on a cc#.
anyways, just kind of excited on using the receptor finally. wish me luck!

I don't know how to do what you want, but Keystation probably has a method of dedicating something to send an inc/dec to the rig, might be a Data cc#6, but probably can accomodate you.

Todd,
First make sure you are updated to Receptor OS 1.5.
In the Receptor SETUP check the radio button "bypass bank select and target SOURCES." If your sending program change on MIDI CH 1 put Guitar Rig on Receptor Mixer Ch 1. Now when you send a program change MSB/LSB is bypassed and the Guitar Rig patches will change. If you need more help just call me at Muse 650-326-5400, I don't get into the BB as much as I would like to.

Glad it worked for you. Keep thinking about other ways to get to what you need, I'll bet you can do it using a different paradigm/setup.
