You're bringing up a lot of stuff here, but I must disappoint you: All modules + algorithms (combs, generators, effects) were written from scratch, except for envelopes and the lfos, which I took from my existing library. The gui library wasn't written from scratch as well, naturally, it's the same as in all my recent plugs.

Not to mention macintel people, who (if I'm at all representative), felt pretty uncared about in this competition. How come Urs can make UB files all by himself, but NI with 140 people can't?

I admit that this question popped up for me as well a while ago.
Now, some of NIs plugins seem to be quite more complicated (Kontakt for instance), in addition, they're always doing standalones (which should be a no brainer...) and RTAS versions. But still...
