Implants? You mean Sonic Reality.headquest wrote: As for speculation that Reason is to be abandoned, that was started in a ?"humerous" editorial by Ronan MacDonald in CM magazine. Having recently invested so much in the Reason Pianos refill, not to mention helping Sonic Implants convert the entire Miroslav Vitous orchestral sample set into refill format last summer, I find this suggestion highly unlikely. Reason is the biggest selling music software of this decade (by a considerable margin) and one of the most distinctive... why ever would they abandon it in order to produce a "Me, too!" sequencer?
As for rumours... I know some of them! There's more than what you guys are mentioning. Sonic Reality has something pretty big this year that might surprise you. We also have something to announce relating to Tracktion that is cool as well. IK has something extremely cool that I've been asked to speak at a press conference on (I do that sometimes). I can't let that cat out of the bag of course but it is something I know a lot of people will be excited about (maybe start another 300 page thread on - ha).
There are some other things I've heard about as well but I am under NDA so I can't disclose. I CAN tell you that it looks like it will be an interesting NAMM though. Hopefully some of you will get to go there. I am going to video some of it and put it up on youtube though in case you can't. Let me know if there's anything in particular you want to see.
Oh, in the Sonic Reality booth which is three times larger than last year (to give you an idea of the scope of what we have going on) we will also have a REALLY unusual instrument that is totally new. I don't think it's ever been seen before actually, so an invention that controls midi in a unique way. We didn't invent it, this is something from another company that is sharing a piece of our booth just because it's cool (not it's not the Continuum although I was considering bringing mine just for the fun of it). The SR booth is right next to the Yamaha/Steinberg booth, PreSonus and Korg. It's going to be a fun show. I hope I get to see some of you KVRians there.
