ILIO is using that space this time.
That's odd they aren't showing.

Not really. It just doesn't make sense to promote stuff that isn't finished yet. :-)
I can understand why though... these shows cost a fortune and they do take up a lot of resources.
Time is really the issue.

NAMM/Musikmesse takes a huge amount of time away from the important development we are doing. At this point for Spectrasonics, it's way better for our customers if we stay "locked in the lab" this time.

I've done 27 NAMM shows now, so sitting one out isn't too bad. We'll be back. :-)

We'll definitely miss seeing all you guys though. Have a great show Dave! :-)

All the best,

Tronam wrote:Anyways, a partnership with Ableton wouldn't be such a bad idea. Live/Reason already make a tight pair. Apparently the Props have been cooking something up for the past few years that is nearing release. I guess it wasn't quite ready for NAMM, so they'll be announcing it at Musikmesse. Definitely curious to see what they've been working on.
Propellerhead are attending NAMM, and there are strong indications that they have something to show, or at least announce. (activity on the Props forum form people like James Bernard, blank, etc).

The rumour of a partnership project with Ableton is that it will wait to AES to be unveiled though.

P'head have a strict policy of unveiling stuff when - and only when - it is ready. They have never been into the idea of launching something for marketing purposes only to annoy users with something buggy (as some others do). [/i]

I am expecting big things and maybe a merger with Sonic Reality or even Spectrasonics. Are going to see a synth from these companies in the Reason rack?
Not Spectrasonics. :-)

Okay, if you say so:

February 18, 2000 - Propellerheads' New Synth-Studio Paradigm
November 30, 2000 - Reason from Propellerhead Now Shipping
January 4, 2001 - Propellerhead's Reason Now Shipping (this time for real)

Given that they haven't really released a new product since then (really only updates), it's kind of a silly thing to say they have this strict policy ("We promise to never announce new products before they are finished. We have mastered this promise by never releasing new products.")

I guess that they're announcement has been postponed 'till Musikmesse.
Looks like P'Head are NOT coming to NAMM empty handed...

James Bernard seems very excited, and they have a 'technology preview' announced for each day.

I know what I hope it is, but more than anything I hope it is FREE, because I'm expecting to have to buy Tracktion 3 soon... :hihi:

Same here, all the way :)

A free 3.5 with a couple of new synths/modules would be dope - plus Tracktion 3 of course 8)

If it comes down to paying for R4 and T3 though... my guess is I'll be going for both already :hihi:

Post

Yeah, Reason will get 2 new synth modules and then the people that just released all these refills will wish they could have used those in their way cool combinator patches.

DOH! :dog:

Well there is a lot of talk and a lot of people including myself are getting very anxious!
Props need to show something big.
I suspect Reason 4.0 with even bigger performance tweaks and some new toys.
I hope they enhance the Dr Rex also add some more better sounding filters.

The countdown continues....
will i have enough nails left to bite!!!!

Not to mention the bugs that were present in the initial release of 3.0 anyway.

BabyaLogic will steal the show with iBabya -- who cares about anything else?

I was trying to point out the BS rationalization about their absurdly long development time, being due to their careful attention to releasing bug free software.
