Beno wrote: The online T3 upgrade pricing isn't set yet. Its obviously going to be less then the project bundle. The online upgrade only includes the software and all the Mackie Plug-ins (mixing and mastering tools including the new channel strip) but none of the other bundled plugs.
It has been suggested elsewhere that the online upgrade will be $69. Can you confirm this Beno?

Also, you say here that the online upgrade includes 'all Mackie Plug-ins... including the new channel strip'. Does that mean that even the Mackie plug-ins that **are not** available for T2 online upgraders (the reverb, the extra compressors) will be available for the T3 online upgrade?

Yes, that is what the Mixing and Mastering Tools are. On the T3 info page, it shows them with their new skins. But it doesn't show them all obviously, as the Channel Strip is not there.

So yes, those are the same ones that were not given to online upgraders before.

It's main sound set loop-wise is from Sonic Reality's RAW (not to be confused with Raw Material Software but nice coincidence!). There's a nice sampling across the range which if you want to know what that is its here: http://www.esoundz.com/sounds2.php?p=st ... =0&stiid=0
Thanks for all the great info Beno!

Is it difficult to integrate ones' loop collection with the integrated loops library in T3?

All I hope is that I can completely remove all trace of the loop browser with a single click.

I know they are the same ones, but I am still not certain that they are available for the online upgrade only package - maybe he just means final mix and the associated compressors that we got with the T2 online upgrade? Maybe I'm missing something/

Having stayed away from using loops for the longest time, I must say I am totally looking forward to using the new looping tools with my own loop collection.

As mentioned already, you can see a wee button next to the (not necessarily "loop" because there are other tools visible) browser much like the "hide filters" or "hide input icons" buttons. I can't think of any reason in the world ANY software company would make a sizeable browser on the left of the display and force you to view it all the time. ;)

No, they should be the whole set. Every bundle description mentions the same set of tools, "Mixing and Mastering Tools".

Beno can confirm it, but I am pretty sure that there is only one set of plugins from Mackie now. I know that I got the boxed upgrade last time and so I do have all the plugs from Mackie for T2. And it appears that the bundle has been combined, as all of my plugins are accounted for on the T3 page describing the plugins.

Have any improvements been made to the Quicktime support? Integration with the sequencer for instance?

Are you talking about a thumbnail track? If so, then I doubt it. It would have probably shown in a screenshot or mentioned as that is a pretty large feature.

By the way, sorry to keep answering your questions. I know they are directed at Beno, but I'm just trying to help!

Cheers!

That's cool I am happy to get some answers!

You're right, I guess it would have been documented. I am talking about a thumbnail track, I thought it a logical step from the current implementation, but I guess it is only logical to me...

Yeah that's about it if I remember correctly. But we officially recommend you finish everything in T2 first since we can't test every scenario and there is bound to be some combination of items in your edit that might not work.
Ben
Ben, if T2 can't be guarenteed to open in T3 that means I can never uninstall T2 on my machine incase I need to edit a T2 song. I'm not sure that is such a great idea. Maybe it would be a good to make T2 edits degrade in a friendly fashion into T3 at the very least. I would like to uninstall T2 and work from a single sequencer.

p.s. I do understand that your busy with release stuff and this could be done as an update later on.
