Yeah baby, yeah !
Let's hope version 1.2 will be multi-processor capable.

I thought 1.1 is already. Just multiple intances aren't supported at the moment:
The Windows version of UniWire does not support Dual Core mode with multiple instances of UniWire. Multi processing must be disabled from the sequencer when multiple instances of UniWire is required.

Yes, that's what I meant. Multi-processor capable with several instances.

Does it support multiprocessors on a Mac when using only one instance, will it eventually support multiple instances? I have a G5 Quad, G5 Dual processor (PPC) machines, and Intel Core 2 Duo... Since a lot of the machines are going multiprocessor, this seams like an important feature. What happens when you use UniWire AU on a multiprocessor machine?

Hi, I'm excited to see all the new features in 1.6 and I wondered if multiprocessor has been implemented yet.
Thanks -VIncent

I'd like to ask the same question. Exactly what is the status of uniwire RTAS support? I can find raving introductions by Muse all over the web going back as far as 2006, but I can't find the download on the Receptor website?jean wrote:where is the promisse of uniwire for RTAS? when do i have to wait until?
I'm using the FXpansion vst2rtas wrapper now, but uniwire connectivity is flaky at best. The receptor keeps shutting off the Uniwire function. When i click it it remains on for about 5 seconds, then it disables again.
Does anybody have an idea when RTAS support is here?
thanks

FYI Octotonic,
Uniwire will automatically turn on when you instantiate a Uniwire plugin on a channel in your digital audio workstation application.
Hope this helps.

Octotonic,
Yes. Support for multi processor will be available with the release of the new Receptor System 1.7 Update and the new Receptor Tools (Remote & Uniwire).

"UniWire 1.2 does. It is only available to Direct Install beta testers at the moment, although you can sign up for that at: www.museresearch.com/beta.phpMortimerBenz wrote:Octotonic,

From the release notes:
Included in the Receptor Tools 1.2 package, which is required for Receptor v1.7, is UniWire 1.2. Aside from fixing several bugs and improving overall compatibility, UniWire 1.2's most obvious new capability is that it works with multicore processors. You no longer have to disable multi-core support in your host application in order to use UniWire."

With most workstations being multiprocessor... I look forward to the reports of how things work once it's released.
