Reverse Sample Playback for DK+

adding features in the voice editor is simpler that adding more parameters in the step sequencer, also many users actually use the host sequencer to play the DK+, maybe exporting the simpler patterns to make them more complicated and less quantized,
so any parameter added to the DK+ seq should be also exportable as MIDI cc.
Maybe I'll add at first just reverse and random pitch in the Voice editor

that sounds good although probability in the step sequencer would make really usable as a background loop tool with automatic variation.

ps: make sure to include a sample start position slice in case that you do provide reverse playback. some samples have silence added so that would not be nice to hear silence first.

yes I thought about that, maybe I'll make an auto search to skip silenceAKJ wrote:ps: make sure to include a sample start position slice in case that you do provide reverse playback. some samples have silence added so that would not be nice to hear silence first.

very good. i hope that some step sequencer improvements will also come. I have a new idea:
the ability to switch lanes of the step sequencer on and off via triggering midi notes.
together with probability this will make a nice loop tool.
cheers, akj
ps: actually it would be also great if the step sequencer lanes corresponded with the number of pads.

and we should have a poll to see the most wanted features

Here is also a feature request
A preview button in the sequencer tracks so you can hear what samples you have in the kit while you are arranging the sample order in the DK+ sequencer.

so my entries for the poll would be
1 pitch envelope (per pad)
2 adjustable pitch randomization (per pad)
3 reverse sample and adjust sample start (per sample)
4 up to 32 velo layers per pad
5 step seq: reverse playback per step
6 step seq: one line per pad (thus extend to 24 lines
7 step seq: define probability per step (for randomisatio)
8 step seq: tripple stoke as step option
9 step seq: definition of time signature (also odd ones) with visual "feedback"
10 step seq: option to random choose among patterns which are not empty
the poll should be interpreted as a feedback of priority, since I believe all those features are desirable. please, add your feature suggestions to the list and after finishing to collect, let's start a poll.

thanks, I will pick the most voted feature and will start from that,
as you know the DK+ (it's beloved for sure but) is not my only product too support, <wink>
