Can anyone tell me how easy it would be to make a Scarbee Rhodes say, only 4 octaves. I tend to play in the midrange for chords and would like to reduce the memory it takes up with the standard library. Having never done this before I don't know if it's even possible but would assume so.
Thanks

There are other options to reduce size as well.
Batch convert to 16 bit.Use one of the "lite" patches, etc.

Yes, im already using the 16 bit samples Phil. Apparently I can acheive what I need to in the mapping section of Kontakt 2. I'll have a look at that soon. I've only had Kontakt 2 a short while but actually in DFD active mode it's barely there for clicks and pops. Im basically looking to get Scarbee D6C and Rhodes into 2GB of RAM, which I can either acheive by DFD or by reducing the playing zone of each, since organ is my main axe.

From NI Forum
It should be a simple move. Load instrument and open the mapping window. Select the zones you wish to delete and delete them using the zone menu.
After this save under another name - ex. MID (for middle)
