[title changed ... DarkStar, it was
MIDI support for external hardware in XT2?]

As I understand it, eXT doesn't have very good capabilities for sending to a PC's MIDI out. One very important feature for me is to be able to control my hardware synths. eXT won't allow more than one hardware MIDI out at a time and I'm not able to access even that one MIDI out when I create a setup.

What kind of support will eXT2 have in this regard?

Don't know, but NicFits midi out is a nice stopgap

I would really like a natvie midi output. It could guarantee better stability & performance, imo.

I would like to show my support for this.

As well as manual latency adjustments, an option to request an auto-latency compensation / MIDI track latency polling (pdc for hardware). Not to mention SYSEX/NRPN out support.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like this only supports patch changes, not bank changes.

I vote for that. Twice if possible.

It would be great if there was support for MIDI hardware. At the very least let us route to any hardware MIDI out and let us use more than one output at a time. Then maybe give us the ability to send basic parameter changes like volume, patch, MSB, and LSB.

All I want to do right now is load a setup and have all my synths (vst and real) get the patch changes I want.

Yes, native multiple MIDI out, please. This was always one thing than annoyed me with eXT1. I know there are plugins for MIDI out, but please can we make this stuff native?

I just read this post and agree. I'm also buying hardware and have a suspicion that its a new trend, and which needs support from hosts like eXT.

I nkow i had downloaded both NF midi out and TOBybear midi out plugins, and only kept the Tobybear's one, but it is not very stable.
So yes, once again : +10
