KV331 Audio

I was the lucky winner of a copy of Synthmaster in the KVR Audio forum recently and I installed it on a brand new Carillon Core 2 Duo DAW (with XP SP-2).

When I launch the software, and try to go setup the MIDI I/O for my keyboard (Edit>I/O Setup) a windows error message box appears saying that:

"SynthMaster StandAlone Version has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The application then closes down.

When I click on the More Information link, the error appears to be in the synthmaster.exe file itself.

This happens everytime and I have uninstalled and re-installed the software to no avail. I just can't get it to star up.

Any suggestions?

Looks like (driver of) one of the devices you are using is causing this error. Have you tried using the VST version within a host?

Hi!
I have the same problem...I cant get the standalone version to work and I get the same error message as MidimanNI..
The VST version works without problems though..

yeah, mine crashes in Pro Tools as an RSTA plug in...

Wow is it that long already since I got my copy of synthmaster??... I havent been using it because of the bugs but I'm hoping the newer version will take care of them..I would really like to use this on a regular basis..

I wonder how it's coming along..
