Ehm...(too tech to a poor analog/hammond grown musician)...for example?

I don't know... consider it a question to Muse folks and other developers in the Recpetor forum ;)

I'm just thinking about switching the graphics layer as older systems (prior to W2k) get less important. And the libraries that I use switched to GPL recently so I can't update to the latest anymore...

From my experience, it seems that the Receptor \windows\system folder is actually the usual place to put support DLLs - even if they resided in the system32 folder on the original Windows machine.

I'd also say that the really long filenames from Vista are not going to work on Receptor. Well, the long names should be OK, but the mechanism that uses them will not: I'd guess that Vista does some internal translation from what the program requests into what resides in the filesystem, allowing multiple versions to exist even if they have the same basic filename. That translation mechanism probably is not present in the current Receptor OS or Wine.

Interesting thought, thanks...

I think I've rewritten most of the important parts from the runtime lib though... if I'm not completely off I should be able to compile a static linked version soon...

Here we go:

http://www.u-he.com/Zebra22b2Win.zip

blood, sweat and tears ran into this build. It shall now work fine without any extra MS libraries. This isn't 100% confirmed though.

This version is also supposed to be fully optimized again...

Lemme know what's going (or not),

Wow... what's that about?!? :-o

I got the exact same errors when trying to install z3ta+ as described in this thread.

Both z3ta+ and your Zebra install okay using the Wine on my Ubuntu Studio PC, so this error is probably because of the particular version Muse uses (it's two years old I think).

Post

Paul,

When exactly does the error come up?

I assume you ran the Zebra installer under Windows, using the compact install. Then you dragged the .dlls and the Zebra2.data directory over to the Receptor install facility. Is that right?

 ZRev & Zebralette are still the old versions... what if copying only Zebra2.dll over instead of all 3 of them?

Cheers,

;) Urs

P.S.: I'm on the case... maybe it's just "riched32.dll" that has to go in the system folder...

Hi Urs,
i installed Z2b2 succesfully on my R hardware revB - os1.5, for now it seems to work but i don't be able to select any preset from the showed list, Z remains on the default tone test. It sounds properly, tried to move a few buttons and knobs and they work. Now i will try to import on R an FXB from my windows Z demo, as i done witn TCbeta.

Importing fxb preset files is simply and works fine, it's a little uncomfortable, one preset at a time to save from windows host, then drop it on R and push on install button to write a bank on R, then regruop all so imported presets to rebuild all Z2 library... but for now Z2, the best soft synth ever, works in beta2 on my Receptor.
Now i purchase it, fantastic!!!
Thans for now Urs!

Big thanks Urs! Now, how do I buy it?

On another note nl3, how do you get the .fxp and .fxb files? They didn't come with the zip file. Can Ableton Live 6 generate these for us and then we copy them over to the Receptor? If not, can you please post these files for us nl3?
