I think it's great, but I would never use it. It's too dated/eccentric of purpose.

Dude, seriously, make something other than virtual analogs for a change.

Back on topic: I love the grit in this :)

I understand your frustration Chris, it's easy for me to say this but I would take what he posted with a large pinch of salt. The fact that his plug-in doesn't even appear to function doesn't do much to back up his claims, the guy appears to be delusional. The slider paths don't match the artwork either, they sit somewhere in the middle and off-centre.

Has anyone started selling Oddy-Free on eBay yet? It happened with TAL U-NO-60 and countless others I dare say (although you have wisely used the word 'free' in the title so that should make it harder to do so). Now that is frustrating!

Gui issues apart - this plug-in is what I would like all analog replicas would feel / sound like... Thanks Chris!

I've been experimenting with Oddy-Free and creating some patches, and a glitch jumped out at me. I can't seem to add a subtle amount of LFO to the pitch, it jumps from none to what I would describe as too much.

It's a bit of a nit-pick but significant for me, sorry if you were already aware of this Chris.

can't ban anybody but deleted all the unnecessary posts. i didn't think it was appropriate for mcpee to make such accusations and then take somebody's gui without permission. sorry about not being able to update btw. should be up shortly.

Thanks Tuz, on both of those things.

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is with the mod depth of the LFO, what I do know though (and what may be throwing some folks off mentally) is that at least for the square wave LFO depth, it can only be positive. e.g., only 0 volts or above, as this allowed for easily consistent intervals from modulation. I honestly can't say off-hand if the sine wave had this behavior in the original, or if I programmed it to either, but I know the square wave did. At any rate, if it's a serious problem or a bugger for folks I can look at it for a possible future update.

I can't do much anything now though. Sorry folks, y'all are just gonna have to bear with me, I've had quite a shitty week, far beyond the whole mess with MCPee. I know y'all have been nothing but supportive thus far, and I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it and what a good feeling that gives me, but I need it now more than ever. :(

Sincerely,
Chris Roberson.

Nice update Chris! :)

The osc. FM issue is a difficult one, I don't have a real Odyssey to compare it to but most soft synths allow for finer control of the pitch mod. In Oddy-Free, the smallest value I can set the osc. FM control to is 0.0714, which creates a pronounced vibrato. I tend to use very subtle pitch LFO in my patches (far less than this).

Also, I seem to be able to drag some (but not all) of the sliders to the right as well as up and down. Obviously this has no effect on the sound but can make the GUI look a bit weird. This was also present in v1.0 but I only just noticed it.

One more thing, the labels for the VCF S&H / LFO switch aren't properly aligned with the slider - this is of course my fault! Sorry, I will fix this and PM you with the updated bitmap.
