Hi folks,

I am starting this thread to collect feedback on feature requests. Feel free to write your comments

Here are my feature requests

1. OSX versions: RTAS, VST, AU (this is the order they will be implemented!)

2. More filters: Comb filters (for PM), Analog modelled (Moog) filters, etc...

3. Multi-stage envelopes.

4. WaveTable Synthesis

5. More flexible modulation options, with additional LFOs (to free up the modulators)

6. Better UI with "Basic" and "Advanced" looks.

7. Better Preset Browser

It would also be nice to have a pink noise in the oscillators.

Hello right not really had time to dig into this synth properly but i'll make a few suggestions that you may or may not want to look at.

Easypage could have an x-y controller or maybe something else that will control multiple parameters.

The white info box that pops up disapears when you move the mouse away from the knob so that needs to be fixed so you can see the data. You could actually do away with that box & have small display in the corner but it really doesn't matter as long as i can see the data change when moving the mouse.

I find the envelopes a bit fiddly & imo its the wrong way round (vertical) seems more natural to have it horizontal to me & also suites most hardware controller formats this way. Also if you are going to do sliders they need to be a bit smoother they just seem a little jumpy.

I think this is a great synth btw i just haven't quite got my head round it & need to give the manual a good goin over.

That would be my only request as well. I can't imagine anything that needs to be added to this synth. Even asking for waveforms is a little ridiculous given what's already there.

But it would make things alot quicker. Either that and/or a wavedraw like the superb one in Oatmeal or even the one in z3ta+... something simple but completely functional. Only because it's easier to get what you want by drawing it than by adding/subtracting/mixing different wavetypes.

Aside from that, maybe 1 or 2 more internal LFO's...

A redesign of the "Easy" page; it doesn't seem to be very functional compared to the rest of the pages. :S, if not, a better, more understandable way of routing easy controls cause the config page doesn't make sense to me. (Screw RTFM, I haven't done that for ages and learn more this way.)

Anyway, feature request...
FXP/FXB compatibility. While I notice SynthMaster makes up its number by how many patches are present, I think that makes it quite difficult to navigate through patches you want to use. And I think a bank format would organize things a lot better. (This is just personal preference though)

And a big f'n +1 for Wavedrawn/importable oscillators.
And for tune spread, is it possible to increase that to -/+100 instead of -/+8? I think this is pretty obvious why.

More suggestions:

Any chance for a free-phase adjustment to compliment unison detuning? The purpose is whether or not the other voices should be in the 'same phase' relative to the original, but sort of pseudo-random phase?

And uhm...Pulse width, if it's not possible already. (I can't seem to figure out how to do it if it's there.)

oh oh oh!!
include soundfont/sfz compatiblility (and include some really sweet synthy soundfonts and patches to match!!) and super high quality realtime sinc rendering!! oh man. that would be wicked. maybe some really awesome helix-style waveshaping options too.

just to let you know.
this is going to be THE FIRST SYNTH i buy - when i have money. Does anyone have a copy they want to trade me by chance?

+1 for the for a dedicated preset window - something for fast and easy browsing.

Request: Free-phase unison adjustment knob. (to adjust whether or not it starts directly in-phase so it gives that heavy flange effect, or not, which basically the unison voices are pseudo-random phase for starters; good for superSOREs.

Hey KVR team, here are some suggestions:

1) When SynthMaster is minimized or we change the windows program, it would not play the sounds when we're typing in other programs. It would make SM keep mute;

2) The input field TEMPO would accept to type the value on it, besides that, when we are with the mouse between the arrows up/down, we would click on it and get to drag up or down to increase/decrease faster the value changes;

3) In the Preset Browser Tree, the way renaming presets is a little dangerous and I've changed a lot of original tfx files' name by accident (with 3 click or the way it says in the manual). Bulent, in my opinion, It should have access through a contextual menu by using right mouse button or also have in the FILE menu the option "Rename preset". I don't get to use ESC to cancel;

4) Talking about item 3, SM would have a way to restore the original database (sounds bank/tfx file's name).

Is there any wy to fix/restore the files I've renamed by mistake? I've uninstalled and installed again, but it kept the wrong names.

5) The commands such as Delete Preset, Rename Preset, would be in the Edit menu;

6) In the Preset Browser Tree, I don't get to create a folder in the main root. SM creates it inside the existent folders. It would be cool to get to create my own folder in the main root. Besides that, after creating a folder I don't get to delete it. Well, I didn't get to fnd any way to delete them. Maybe one more option for the RMB contextual menu;

7) The SynthMaster nowadays can record to WAVE as REAL-TIME, It would be cool if SM had an easy Sequencer/Tracker where we would add the tfx files or wave files (assigned samples) and create patterns/measures. An interesting sequencer/tracker is from Tuareg2 (Rage 2):

Talking about it, anybody knows some FREE tracker/sequencer like the way above I would use with SynthMaster? Or does SynthMaster can import some plug-in/VST, stuffs like that as tracker? I'm very new with VST stuffs, actually I don't know anything about them. :0) Any tip?

Pretty much everything I'd like to see is listed (soundfont support, inserting your own wav files, wave drawing..). I'd particularly like to see soundfont support because I enjoy taking non-electronic sounds and mangling them (I do this in Crystal all the time. I love it).

I also particularly like KV331's ideas of wavetable support and more flexible modulation options. I think that the next version is going to be killer.
