I have used MFM2 for some of my recent entries for the monthly contest in the Music Café. It really is a beautiful plugin. I haven't tried any programing as the presets are so good that I don't feel any need to dive in.
Cheers,
Gordon

Nope... it's 16...sinkmusic wrote:Hi
I am playing a bit with MFM2 demo, and this thing is great and very powerful indeed.
But Reaper reports 512 samples latency : is it correct ?
All my plugins do 16 samples - which is key to cpu optimization...

Thank you for the answer.
Like Zebra, it needs quite a lot of time to get good knowledge of it, but you know you won't get disappointed while playing with it

Another new happy customer! after owning zebra2 for almost a year i got some cash for MFM.
It sounds so gooooooood, it seems so "organic" and clean. another great work from one of the very top developers of audio application.

Not official demos, but I do have some examples. Just released a new CD from my latest project, atom(bang), called The Big Bang, which was made using MFM, Filterscape and Zebra 2 pretty extensively.politcat wrote:are there any audio demos of MFM2 in action?
Check out some of the tracks (especially Insomnia and Running Out Of Time for heavy MFM usage) here:

You can also hear them in higher quality on facebook. The link to facebook is also on the page.
All the best,
atom(x)

My three most satisfying purchases this year...
1. Zebra 2
2. MFM 2
3 V-Synth
MFM 2 is absolutely my favorite delay followed closely by the OhmForce Ohmboys.
I have come to use MFM 2 as a crazy Karplus-Strong machine. The combs and modulated delays you can get out of this thing are monsterous. Being able to have an MSEG routed to delay time... mwahahahahaha!

Any interest in sharing some patches like this? I'm quite curious to see some as this is one of the features of MFM2 that I've found hardest to see how to go about using.justin3am wrote:I have come to use MFM 2 as a crazy Karplus-Strong machine. No problem! I'm leaving work right now. I'll get on it once I've gotten home.tylenol wrote:Any interest in sharing some patches like this? Before Christmas. This year.JeffSanders wrote:Any idea of an estimated release date?
It's technically finished. I'm fighting two or three bugs on the Win side for GUI switch/resize (see roadmap thread).
After all the funny things that happened this year... can't think of many reasons for a further delay (no pun intended)

Here are 4 presets that I've created that may or not be useful to some people, they will be included in a bank that I'm in the process of putting together. Some of them use key tracking and MSEGS so you will want to route a midi channel to "play" them. I also recommend routing a controller to the master feedback because some of these will go into self-oscillation.

I have created a bunch of presets that are based on the self-oscillating delay lines which sound really nice (to me) followed by a modulated lowpass filter. I don't know how useful this would be to anyone practically but I could include those in my bank of presets if anyone is interested.
Here is a track I created that features sounds that were created using MFM2 as sound source. In fact the first minute or so (until the beat comes in) is just MFM with crazy modulation from Numerology.
