I want this for all my tracks!! like yesterday
please give us a roadmap/release time frame
edit: I was using the previous version (w/o compressors) and losing the subtleties of the delay/lfo/filter etc in the mix. The compressors brought them back!
yeah, I already thought of that. ha!Urs wrote:Well, yes, the official release version of MFM2 has compressors... you can even betricksed it and use the compressors without the delay...
What is this "modular system" "B-Device" thing? I haven't heard anything about it... Is there a link or something?Urs wrote:Full blown compressors "on their own" are planned for the next new plugin, unless the B-Device (modular system) comes first. Depends on things. But next is Filterscape 1.3 (or so). Must render a demo file for the alpha version of the new filter... gobsmacking...
No worries, I'm not gonna compete with Sonalksis or UAD any time soonMitchK1989 wrote:I hope you aren't spending too much of your time/resources on a compressor.
Oh, that's cool... You mean something in the kind of market that Audio Damage is in right now? Quirky and reasonably priced? I'd actually like that quite a bit, especially if you made a (suitably unique to fit with the U-He brand) distortion plug... I'd like to see what kind of angle you'd take on that.Urs wrote:No worries, I'm not gonna compete with Sonalksis or UAD any time soonMitchK1989 wrote:I hope you aren't spending too much of your time/resources on a compressor.![]()
On the other hand I wouldn't mind making some affordable goodies "stand alone" rather than buried in the depths of Zebra, MFM or Filterscape... I think even the simple fx section in Triple Cheese might find some friends if unleashed in a simple plugin...
Urs
on the contrary, I hope he does spend some time on a creative compressor. I hardly think urs would make one that is merely "utilitarian"MitchK1989 wrote:Personally, I hope you aren't spending too much of your time/resources on a compressor. Not that I have any say in what you spend your time on, but I personally find the idea of Fabfilter switching gears from creative to utilitarian...
yes!!! I hope you don't change your mind about thisUrs wrote:I wouldn't mind making some affordable goodies "stand alone" rather than buried in the depths of Zebra, MFM or Filterscape...
Maybe I lack artistic vision in this regard, but I consider delay to be a much more creative effect to begin with, and don't really see what could be added to a compressor to make it more creative other than a sidechain.politcat wrote:on the contrary, I hope he does spend some time on a creative compressor. should he have stopped developing mfm just because there are tons of delay plugins out there?!
