I need someone to give me brief instructions installing Stylus RMX. I downloaded the dll file from Spectrasonics.
I've read the instruction on Plugorama and tried to install this plugin but with no luck.
Please Help..

i can only remember there seemed to be a bit of a contradiction or confusion between the instructions in the instructions and pdfs from plugarama and spectrosonicswhere i seemed to go down a wrong fork in the various installation instructions - like if A then B then C but if D then something else- when i succeeded i thought ok they told me to do it that way but it wasnt that clear from the first reading - i know thats not clear but the answer was in the instructions on repeated attempts / reading - in fact i've got that a lot with my receptor so far - particularly with the various version sections - i think maybe they could get a high-school student or someone's kids to tidy up some of the instructions on the site or in the manual!

Yes, same prob here with RMX - the install fails. Interestingly, RMX still shows up as a Plugin Source, but when I try to load it Receptor crashes every time. If anyone figures this out, a post would be most appreciated.

Instructions for updating 1.0 to 1.5 are now on:
http://www.plugorama.com/customer/produ ... ductid=484
If the v1.0 prep installer "fails" it's usually because it is already installed. Move on to the next step, copying the DLL and dat files.
If you continue to have problems open a support ticket at Plugorama and one of the support guys will sort you out.

RMX 1.0 isn't installed, so I'm not upgrading, but starting from scratch with 1.5.1c. I think at this point I have things really messed up b/c of all my trial and error installs. I opened a support ticket with Muse, but that was 5 days ago and I haven't gotten a response...frustrating.

I got it working somehow...the only thing I did differently was to copy the StylusRMX.dll into the SAGE folder, i.e., Receptor Drive > Program Files >
Spectrasonics > SAGE > Stylus RMX. I had noticed the DLL was in my previous computer installation, but NOT in the same location on Receptor. So it now exists in the "Unsupported" folder as well. I dunno, whatever works. The only strange thing is that all my Stylus RMX suites are now listed in reverse alphabetical order. I can live with that.

i, too, had problems installing RMX (I bought it the other day). I don't think the instructions were the best in the world. But I eventually got it. Hopefully this helps:
Install the helper file from the plugorama website
Install Stylus on your computer (it's two DVDs and two seperate setups--also it takes a while)
Copy the stylus.dll from your computer to the appropriate place on your receptor. Copy all the db files to your receptor. THIS WAS A PROBLEM FOR ME. Apparently there are 14 files, but only 13 copied the first time. Also, there needs to be a specific directory called Sage. There is an FAQ on the Spectrasonics site (http://support.spectrasonics.net/viewtopic.php?t=44). Once I took care of that stuff and rebooted, Things were better. I also downloaded a new copy of the stylus.dll from the Spectrasonics site:(http://www.spectrasonics.net/updates/index.php)
I found this FAQ on the Spectrasonics site to be very helpful
http://support.spectrasonics.net/
particularly this article was most useful: http://support.spectrasonics.net/viewtopic.php?t=44
If that doesn't help, let me know. I'll see if i can help further.
