Maize Sampler doesn't do recording/sampling.

Maybe it means Sample Player, not sampler.

IDFK, I always Maize was a type of grain, like wheat or something...?

Granted that we see more VST "samplers" nowadays with the ability to "record", those of us who have being here long enough would know it wasn't the case even just a few years ago. And yes, we knew even back then there was that recurring dead-horse debate centered around the usage of the term "sampler" in the VST world.

We have no intention to rectify this term which was re-coined during that period of time.
