Mr. Stewart: it does seem unfortunate that there have not been any updates from the developer, and I would be lying if I said that I don't have any hesitation about buying the product myself until he is heard from again. Nonetheless, to speak in such absolutes as "Whatever 'troubles' Lennard may have he should make contact on this forum - or get someone to do so on his behalf" is to divorce ourselves from the possibilities of what can happen in life.Paul Stewart wrote:I purchased the product in good faith having read some great reviews about the sheer sound quality. It was only after I had been using it for a while that the stutter issue became apparent. I made some enquiries and a bug was confirmed. Several hosts seem to highlight the same problem.
It was widely known that an update (for this issue and a Mac version) was due early in 2008 - and we are now nearly in May.
I think it is disguting and totally wrong for us to be in this situation. Whatever 'troubles' Lennard may have he should make contact on this forum - or get someone to do so on his behalf.
Good bye Sylenth. Rest in piece.
I can tell you that, years ago, when I lost my relationship, had all my computers die of technical problems (with little chance of getting them repaired for months due to the remote location at the time), discovered I had a rare and untreatable (though not very severe) medical condition and suddenly found out that my best friend had committed suicide all in the span of a few weeks (and following a summer where one of my parents had, had a heart attack and recovered as well as had another friend be killed by a truck driver) that I could not have been expected to maintain a reliable and consistent routine or make communicating with others a priority. Looking back on it, I am surprised that I handled it as well as I did but it wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination.
I pray that nothing of this severity is behind the communication difficulty in this case but I would simply ask that you use your imagination and compassion to open to the possibility that there may be very good reasons for the communication blackout. I am not saying that you should overlook the difficulty it causes you or avoid finding other solutions or even that you should buy the next product by the developer if you feel like you can't count on them anymore. I am simply saying that we don't need to be so harsh in our language and that we can acknowledge the problem and advise against doing business until it is remedied without making it personal about Lennard.
