What should we expect from future versions of Maizessoft?

Do the developers plan to keep Maizesoft as a relatively simple sample playback engine, with more options for skinning? Or do they plan to slowly add more advanced features, such as more filters, more control over the filter envelope, and a routing matrix, etc? (I guess just listed my most wanted features.)

From what I understand, the main programmer went to college (in the USA) and so development may be slow. That said, Maize is an excellent program and relatively stable. It has many good features on the creation side, but next to no features on the exported vsti side.

What Mike says is pretty much it. There'll be updates, but it'll be ready only when it's ready.
Always remember: you buy a thing for what it is, not what it may become though.
BTW, Cao is studying in the graduate school.

Surprised to find you in the same town, really--I hear little about music developers in this part of the universe. Mind if I ask where you're studying? (I just completed my doctorate last year, and I understand the time and energy constraints.)

Of course, but when issues are fixed...

I guess the future direction is the former part. We will focus on full customized and cross platform exported vsti. The feature of the sampler engine will be simple and quick. There will not be advanced filter and modulation features. But we'll add small detail such as round/random robin trigger, more effect, sample editing.
And I'm working on these now.

caoxiang, I didn't realize you were in Atlanta! Not too far away from here really. I'm in Nashville, of course! If you ever come up this way, drop me a line!
