Do you get a crash with more than one instance of other plugs, or just that one? In the latter case, it sounds like a bug with the plug, to me...

I was working on a song five minutes ago and had a crash, things happened this way:
I had a song with a drums track provided by SR-202 and an audio track. Then I added a SampleTank part and a SD-404 part. I drew the automation curve for the resonance of a SD-404 filter, listened and it worked right. Then I drew the automation curve for the expression controler, kept open the SD-404 GUI and then Mu.Lab crashed. Repeated the experiment, then mu.lab quit without warning. Repeated it again, and mu.lab froze. I re-opened mu.lab and drew again an automation curve for the filter, clicked "play" in the transport panel and again it worked right.
I have no graphic card. May it be the problem?
Regards.

By "I have no graphics card", I guess you mean your motherboard has an integrate graphics adaptor with RAM sharing. Right?
I guess you mean "DS-404", rather than "SD-404". Right? (Plugin distributed on Computer Music mag DVD. Last time I bought it, it was DS-404.)
Is DSK Brass a plugin or a sample set (or is your latest post independent)?
Can you confirm the version of MU.LAB you're using? What OS are you using and how much RAM do you have? How big are the sample sets you have loaded into SR-202 (unlikely to be huge) and DS-404 (I've not personally seen large sets but you never know)? Have you tried with different sample sets loaded?
After that lot, Jo might be able to think of something. He'll possibly want to see a copy of the MuSession file.

Yes, I just noticed I wrote SD404 instead of DS404, I apologize, it is not a big mistake is it? (unless you discriminate dyslexic people but I am sure you don't). DSK Brass is a free VST plugin you will easily find at this very site but both posts refer to different songs, and my motherboard has an integrated graphics adaptor (thought this last thing was pretty obvious).
I am using mu.lab 1.1, the DS404 patch I was using was 4.15 MB big, and the size of the SR202 patch was 2.9 MB. I have not tried to reproduce the crash using different sample sets. My OS is Windows XP professional SP2, and I have 2 GB of RAM.
And I am still trying to reproduce a really nasty bug: sometimes I am recording some audio and when I hit the space bar to end recording, mu.lab just quits. It has happened to me four or five times, but it seems to be pretty random so far. Last time it happened, which was few minutes ago, I was recording my bass through a Line6 GuitarPort interface, again with SR202 running with the same sample set of size 2.9 MB, and the following plug effects and instruments in various racks: KarmaFx equalizer, kjaerhus audio's classic compressor, Nubi Le (draw organ), Spinner Le (the correspondig "leslie" plug). But it has happened with other plugins, so I think it is not on the plugs side.
I am not complaining about mu.lab I think it is great, I really do, but I am aware that reporting any bug is the way to improve it and make it even better, rock solid, like Jo says. That said, I really appreciate your help on writing more acurate BR.
Regards.

Hello, I have a new bug to report :
I wanted to use my beloved Luxonix Ravity S in Mulab and have this problem :
- I open the Ravity S : all is fine, I can play with it,
- I click on the "edit" button of the Ravity's front panel to show the edit panel : the Ravity GUI is now bigger, but all is OK.
- I click on the "edit" button of the Ravity's front panel once again to hide the edit panel : the Ravity GUI disapears, I cant get it back !!! The Ravity is still here because I can hear it !
So sad, the Ravity S is one of my favourite VSTi !!!!

I am Running 1.1b on a Mac 10.4.11
Every time I try to open up a saved song the "moon" logo comes up and then the program "unexpectedly quits". This happens with both songs I haved saved. Both projects were running fine before I saved and tried to re-open them. I can not remember the exact setup of the projects but they both were running 3-4 midi tracks controlling at least NI Massive, Battery and possibly Camel Phat and GForce Mini Monsta.
If I open up a new track everything works fine.
This program is fricking great otherwise, hope I can get this fixed so I can keep using it.
Thanks
D

It's very strange that the splash screens pops up then...
Anyway, can you please email me one of these .musession files that cause this behaviour.
Will load it here too and see how what that says.

Hi soundbox,
Thanks for the detailed bug reports via email!
I had a close look at this and it seems to me that Compressive CM is doing some strange / faulty things, corrupting the host memory.
I've emailed Martine Eastwood about this.
At this point i recommend not to use Compressive CM until this is resolved.

Thanks !
Can there be an option to link the Arranger window and the Rack window, because sometimes when you go to another application and you come back in Mulab, you have to bring back the 2 windows separately...
