Zebra 2.3 Released!

I installed the new beta, but I'm finding that a bunch of my presets are not working properly anymore. For example, all of the 'Fatty' presets in the factory sound bank '9 Clowns' are producing a click-ish sound and nothing more. The 'Viral' presets in the same bank seem to be working fine.
I'm not sure what the common factor in the presets is. There are a number of other affected presets. For instance, in the '4 Pianoids' bank, the 'HS Waterpiano' preset does that same click sound, but the other sounds in that bank seem fine.
Several of the Zebra Oldskool presets seem to have the same issue. I haven't gone through nearly all of the presets I have (way too many), I probably went through about 40 or so, and somewhere around 20% seemed affected.
I'm running Win XP SP2, Athlon XP 2400+, FL Studio 8, in case that makes any difference.
I figure I'll go back to the last non-beta release for now, but I thought I'd pass that along.

I'll check it out. Is you machine non-SSE2?Echo Voodoo wrote:I installed the new beta, but I'm finding that a bunch of my presets are not working properly anymore. For example, all of the 'Fatty' presets in the factory sound bank '9 Clowns' are producing a click-ish sound and nothing more.

Do you have a Zebra2.data folder in Vstplugins? - Then you have to run the installer with the "Everything in Vstplugins" option... or just rename Zebra2.data to Zebra2.backup.data and see if you can live without it (depends on where you have all your own presets... you can of course copy them over)CinningBao wrote:But I don't see any module appear for SB1/2 (the matrix box is filled, and I can hear a change in the sound) and I can't even see a 3 anywhere!
Cheers,

Not sure. Anyone know how I can check that?Urs wrote:I'll check it out. Edit: googled around, and it appears my processor does not support sse2.

When I renamed the folder my registration seems to have disappeared while the interface starts fading and doesn't respond to mouse clicksUrs wrote: Then you have to run the installer with the "Everything in Vstplugins" option... or just rename Zebra2.data to Zebra2.backup.data and see if you can live without it (depends on where you have all your own presets... you can of course copy them over)

Then copy com.u-he.Zebra2.user.txt from Zebra2.data to C:\Program Files\u-he\Support\CinningBao wrote:YupUrs wrote: Do you have a Zebra2.data folder in Vstplugins?

URS, this is realllllly nice!
11 makes huge unison sounds even bigger.
Exophase is funky space fun!
Blow makes really interesting and organic new PM instruments possible!
No problems to report so far, just gratitude

I've been avoiding checking out this beta, as I've got a lot of work on and need Zebra to just work. Yesterday I had some time to inspect it and Holy S?#T! The new additions are amazing! Instantly I was creating new sounds. Eleven and the osc fx are incredible and I've already put Modmapper to work on a soundtrack. Best part is I was able to use it all night and no problems encountered. Thanks!

Just now tried the Mod Mapper - It is sweetness!
It really needs a load/save though, because I can really see making some envelopes that you will want use again.

Oh and the 'partials' are so very tiny, it might help seeing them a little bit by moving the modulator and range selectors above or below the envelope?
I guess the other option would be to make a tab at the bottom like the msegs to be able to see the 128 'partials' easier...

Hmmm... interesting thoughts... keep them coming!
It's gonna be difficult to make them bigger... I also don't want to waste a bottom tab for them. Didn't think they'd be important enough either...
