No, I think not. Will fix asap!CinningBao wrote:This Z2b7 is resetting the oscillator phase each time stop and start my project in Live7, so any sounds built on dual/quad/11 are all phasy'n'orrible for the first few bars..
Am I the only sufferer?

This was happening even prior to Z2b7, as far as I know... you had to hit a note a bunch of times after loading up (in FL8) to get the phase reset working.

Urs, can we expect soon a revised b7 (or b8) which corrects the couple of reported problems that you intend to fix "asap"?
Thanks,
Mario

Hmm... I was sure it was fixed here, but d'oh... I'm so overworked recently I'm loosing the plot...
Asap means... as soon as possible... which is a relative thing... considering that my current priority is other stuff (support for plugin formats...)... d'oh.... I don't know...
I'm not sure if the coffee I just had is one too much or just not enough...
Later,
Urs
P.S.: Working on something really exciting. It's obviously also related to Zebrify

maybe in FL8, but the latest maintenance release Z2.2(?) only reset on project load, after that it was fine - this beta, for me, behaves slightly differently..zircon wrote:This was happening even prior to Z2b7, as far as I know... you had to hit a note a bunch of times after loading up (in FL8) to get the phase reset working.
it would be fantastic if, when choosing one of the multi-osc modes, the oscillator phases were randomized on the first note instead of having to run through a few triggers to 'push' the phase offsets through..
does that make sense? tbh, I'm sure I requested this before (long time ago) or something like it..

Some nice new features in the recent beta! I've been away from the computer this spring and just tried it and really like the new modules, improved compressor, and the blown option on the comb module looks interesting.
I have not seen any posts with presets/sounds using the new features. Anyone got something interesting with blown or the SB modules?

Hmmm somethings changed, ever since i started using the latest beta i always per instinct reach for the EQ on all my patches. First i thought it was my monitors who got blocked by a new big LCD screen and produced the muddy thing, kinda like a pillow over the sounds. Then i removed the screen, tried again still the same thing. Then i ran an instance of the old Zebra 2.2 with the Key-Piano.h2p patch and noticed that it sounded as supposed to with no muddyness. K, so i renamed the new Zebra2 Beta to Zebra3.dll and started testing. First i thought it might be due to the FX's and the OSC mode Dual etc.. but still the muddyness persist even with OSC in single mode. Try the Key-Piano patch and play softly around on the lower keys, record it and do A/B testing with the old non beta version and the new beta version.
I dont think you will hear this unless you check on fairly good monitors.
There must be others who have had this...reach for the EQ experience on (old) patches. Anyway, i hate brining this up because it can be just about anything and the change is so subtle.

Maybe it's just so that the ModFX Mix is now default to 50.00... other than that seriously nothing has changed in any of the modules.
Or maybe it's summer in Dk too and you're hanging out in the sun too much...

Ya, i know i'm silly and just did a A/B piano test and failed spotting the difference.. now i just need to convince my brain everything is alright heh heh.Urs wrote:Maybe it's just so that the ModFX Mix is now default to 50.00... other than that seriously nothing has changed in any of the modules.

So, any ideas when the finished version will be available for release?

Urs, on the beta so far...
love the new compressor modes
The second one offers bucket loads of attack and has huge scope for creating percussive basses, aggressive kicks and percussion generally. I don't have an equivalent VST compressor to this, and I have a few...
Eleven sounds lovely (and unsurprisingly) even richer than quad mode, which was already phat enough for me btw...
A couple of the new osc fx are really useful. Another nice expansion of sound capabilities...
Fx bypass - very handy
The Freq shifter is another useful addition, it sounds great for adding stereo width, though I could have definitely used more control over the speed, rather than just the 3 presets available.
Lfo modes also useful.
ModMapper - haven't checked it out yet as it didn't appear (I was using the Unempty horse skin)
All in all, a really juicy update. Thanks
Cheers,
bagginz
