I get a lot done by doing a "random" selection of presets after I have an idea of what my "featured" sound will be. The trick is to make the music work with the instruments at hand. Sometimes a synth is replace with another, but more often than not it can all be made to work. This combo of instruments and guitar IS my "patch."
You can have too many though, and if a synth doesn't have a very distinct quality to it I delete it as quick as I can. My recommendation to the OP is keep what you have, they all have distinct sounds and personalities and add Zebra or that ever else you want, but don't just get it because you have some spending cash. Make sure you define a "hole" or "need" in your arsenal that the new instrument will fill.
