I have, but I'm a script dummy. I'm assuming it is similar to the Kontakt Scripting? If so, that is very cool. But a lot of people would agree that a custom coded, integrated solution is better than a script. Too many scripts and it will start to seem "added on" instead of part of the program, when actually coding things in will help the workflow to stay or become tighter and also open you up to more integration.Steffen Fuerst wrote:koolkeys wrote:Did you took a look at the JS Scripts? You can do a lot of this stuff with existing ones, and even better, can easily write own scriptsThis could be anything. Step sequencers, step recording(I think Reaper has that already, no?), arpeggiators, plugins that play a chord based on intervals you define whenever you hit a single note. Stuff like that. Basically anything that would help create sequenced MIDI parts so you don't have to mouse in every note(or can't play that well)3 Compositional (Slicers/Dicers/Arps/Step sequencing/Chorder)![]()
But i agree, that the conventional midi stuff isn't reapers strength.
I love Kontakt scripting personally. Best thing for samplers in a long time. But there's a reason why Garritan and East West have coded their own engines. There are surefire advantages.
But it's a good idea to use JS in the meantime.
Keep in mind that my replies above were just to clarify somebody else's post. I don't own Reaper at this time.
