Sorry to see the loss of the Luna splash...

The new windows look nice! I like the dock.

It would be nice if the VST windows could work like the built-in effect window: programs listed down the side, process, options and load/save across the top.

"* New: Merge Sequence Parts function"
-- Not clear where this lives... Couldn't find it on the sequence menu, the part menu or the new sequence pool.

I had a hard time finding it -it's in the composition menu which is perhaps a little bizarre ... :hihi:

I CAN see why it's there because it affects multiple sequences at the same time and so it's technically on the composition level.

The new window system looks great! I really like it :)

I dragged the window above the top mac menu bar, and i cant figure out how to bring it back down. When i restart mulab, the window is in the same place, like it should, but im stuck lol. Maybe the finder's menu bar could somehow block the window from passing.

pljones had a great idea about putting vst patches along the side, but id rather just see them in a drop-down menu along the top. Although, the way you have the VST window now works just fine. Still hoping for dry/wet knobs up there as well, but thats not important :)

The dock is awesome 8)

It's a composition function, so right-click the composition background.

Oops, didn't read this yet.

Yes, indeed, that's exactly the reason.

Ah, taken note.

Quick fix for this:

Go to System Preferences/Display and change the monitor resolution to something like 1024 x 768 and then back to the native resolution - window bar should appear again.

Found a really minor glitch, but hopefully worth reporting :)

OSX 10.5.4 (Intel) - MULAB 2 Test D - KraftGroove.MuSession

- Double click a part to open editor
- In the rack, click the arrow to open a Musynth editor window
- Close the Musynth editor window
- Note how neither Esc, Tab, or Return key commands work for returning to the Composer window.

Like i said, really minor ;-)

Props to Jo BTW - first opportunity i've had to spend detailed time with MuLab, and it is indeed a more than worthy successor to the mighty Muzys 8)

Yeah, this one makes me think "dance music"; the Luna one is more generally artistic, IMO.

OK... But it applies to multiple sequences that could be used in multiple compositions in the one MuSession, surely? So arguably there should be a MuSession menu where it should live :?:  Can it live on the sequence menu too..?

No, because it doesn't affect those sequences, it only affects that composition ;)

It's doing a couple of things:
1) In the session, it creates a new sequence by merging the sequences from the selected parts.
2) In the composition, it replaces the selected Parts with a single part containing the merged sequence

Certainly (2) puts it on the Composition menu. I'll get used to it :).

One tiny bug: it doesn't sequentially number "Merged" sequences - they all get called "Merged". (At least, when created in separate Compositions in the same session.)

I agree that from the user perspective it may be a bit weird at first sight.

And for that reason, i'll further investigate this aspect. [edit]wrt future versions[/edit]

Thanks!

Will be fixed.

I'm really really digging the new GUIs for the synths and the dock thingie. :D

Miss the backdrops for the FX though.

Oh and the key command for "save as" ... tight!

Hate to bother you about Apple GUI niggles again but I managed to slip the MU.LAB main window under the OSX upper bar so I can't retrieve it. This shouldn't be possible.
edit: It gets worse - looks like I have to install MU.LAB again to make the problem go away.
