In short, quite a lot is in Z2 that's not in ZCM. A Ton of modulators, more oscillators, custom oscillator waves, FM oscillators, comb filters, the XMF filter, and more.

Really, just download the demo and try it for yourself. It doesn't expire or nag you to register and as I said before it's fully functional for about 10 minutes at a time, then you have to reload it.

Just download from here: http://zebrasynth.com/index.php?item=downloads
I was just thinking i should download the demo and try it. But from what i reed in your post, Zebra 2 sure sound like a complete synth.

I take it we can combine FM oscillators with other oscilliators?

I hope i can find the time for sound design in the future. I think I'd like that. And I'm thinking a synth like Zebra and something like reaktor could keep me busy for a while! :D

Cheers!
What ever!

8)

You mean there like a Zebra FX included? So all the FX I've seen in the product page are available as VST kind off?

These?
16 on-board Effects: ModFX (Chorus, Flanger, Phaser), Delay, Reverb, Ringmodulator, Filters, Waveshapers, Mixers
What ever!

As Carlos already told you, only the reverb is available as a separate vst. But depending on your host you may be able to use all the effects included in zebra to process external audio. This is an unofficial feature that will be removed in the future, but it will be replaced by a proper fx version that should work on all hosts.

That's exactly my setup (zebra, reaktor, and the freeware shortcircuit sampler), and I can assure you I haven't scratched the surface of their possibilities. A good thing about these, IMO, is that while they offer a lifetime of sound design experimentation, you can start small and grow up from there.

An FX version makes it even more attracktive thats for sure. Their Ubick bundle also BTW.

Thanks for your feedback, pedrorf.

Definately converted! (well i will be on Friday!)

Is ZebraCM available in any subsequent issue of CM, or just the one?
