Well I tried to crash Zebra 2.3.1 in Reaper 3.06 (WinXP) and I couldn't. So it's the beta only that crashes?

As far as I know... yes.

I think it must be related to the preset favourites/junk thing... it's the last thing I added to the gui code and it seems to not clean up that well...

There's also another suspicion. There was a bug when printing unicode strings to DbgView (techy tool that displays loads of messages while running a beta version)... maybe that's in the latest beta even though I thought I fixed it...

Anyhow, Zebra makes big leaps towards 2.5 recently, so maybe we'll soon have a new beta.

can I go back to 2.3.1 by just installing over 2.3.3?

Yes. Or just delete Zebra2.dll first, maybe.

Post

Post

Huh? Installing the normal version from the website didn't work? Have you tried the pre-installed version that keeps everything within the Vstplugins directory?

I downloaded 2.3.1 and installed over the beta. I got the error PNG loading then the gui opened

but everytime close/open the gui I get that error

?

i know don't know what you mean by pre-installed version

I use whatever zebra dll the installer puts in my vst folder

I was gonna try a fresh install but I don't see an uninstaller anywhere

There isn't any. Just wipe everything off the VST plug-ins directory AND the u-he directory in Program Files. Then do a fresh install of 2.3.1.

Whoa, be careful to back up your presets first if you delete the u-he dir though as that's where they are kept ;)
