zebrify question

The latest beta contains not only Zebra2, Zebralette and ZRev but also Zebrify:

It's not just a feature it's a separate plug-in. It's used as an insert effect and propells the audio material through a Grid (matrix of modules) much like in Zebra, but with every module from the FxGrid at the bottom added to the main Grid on the top. The only real disadvantage is, as a synth it only plays with one voice. On the positive side it has various means of analysing the input material, such as envelope followers, pitch recognition and transient detectors.
Cheers,
Urs

Sounds great. OK, tried and have it working. Will experiment with it. I guess there is only 1 input audio and no way to cross modulate 2 audio sources? the OSCs in Zebrify will not be triggered by midi pitch I guess, so it is true audio effect.

You can choose between MIDI and PitchDetection as source for KeyFollow...djdrjay wrote:Sounds great. OK, tried and have it working. Will experiment with it. If a host doesn't send MIDI, you can automate the built-in keyboard control.

you can route both channels into a group f.e. and insert zebrify on the group
enjoy!

I think you have to do left/right.
Set input 1 to left, input 2 to right, then hard pan 2 audio sources (l and r) coming in to Zebrify.
Then you can ring mod away! I don't think there is another use for this (no way to FM or vocode between two sources, etc...)

I'd love to invent that though. It's just as impossible as time travel. (Some peeps keep up the idea of time travel, but c'mon, it hasn't happened so it won't, sorry...).kodama wrote:(no way to FM [...] between two sources
(It's like that idea that we can simulate the whole world. But if it's possible to simulate a whole world, then it's most likely that most worlds are simumated. Including our own. Watch "13th Floor" raher than "Matrix", or "Welt am Draht")

Unless it's only possible to travel time between when the first time machine is invented, and the end of timeUrs wrote:I'd love to invent that though. It's just as impossible as time travel. But then, what happens when you travel time from "here" to 3 months in the future? Does the time machine also account for the position of the Earth and the moon and the stars? Hmm ... ... ... sounds like it might require a universal simulator!
No argument here(It's like that idea that we can simulate the whole world. But if it's possible to simulate a whole world, then it's most likely that most worlds are simumated. Including our own. Watch "13th Floor" raher than "Matrix", or "Welt am Draht")

Yes, go it working. (Not the FM with two audio sources). Nice stuff with envelope follower, and pitch detection via audio or mid input.
Urs, consider your Zebra plug sold! You will have another client this week.
Little bit disappointed by the unwillingness to stretch time a little bit to invent FM with two audio inputs.

I put up my first experimental patches at http://blurk.net/Patches/ but be warned I was still learning Zebrify myself. I should upload the newer patches I did for a live show where I made noises into a microphone to make Zebrify make various sounds.Quinn1978 wrote:are there patches for zebrify anywhere?
