personally I'm not that much into synthesizers but I like the concept that it is also a multi-fx. Unlike someone else who posted here in this thread I think the fx are of decent quality and they don't use much cpu. However two things put me off a bit when trying the free version:

1. stability problems

2. the gui wastes a lot of space by exhibiting many controls which are irrelevant for the multi-fx and somehow distract me.

Atlantic has a similar concept. However its multi-effect is a seperate plugin. Doing it like this might increase your sales significatly.

It offers an amazing wealth of possibilities, but do we really need another workhorse, does it all synth. I tend to favor specialists that tend to be easier to use and faster to set up. nonetheless very nice sounds out of this beast

If it's user friendly, has good factory presets, and costs a fraction of the other "does it all" synths, why not? Mind you, we're still selling at $39!

I think synthmaster isn't that all-around workhorse synth. It does not offer sample playback, spectral, granular, fm, etc... But as an all-round VA synth it has tremendous possibilities. That's why I'm a bit enthusiastic about it's evolution

Hold on hold on! We have FM (others call it analog FM), and PM (as in Yamaha DX7). There are 4 modulators you can route in different ways!

Also, we have wavetable synthesis, ok that's not sample playback but... We'll add that in the next release

As for spectral: You can design the spectrum of waveforms and create morphs between them. Will try to post a demo of this.

I'm also planning to resample some acoustic instruments and create wavetables out of them, that's in a next version as well!

Oh geez I'll have to play around with it. Of course I meant full-fm what can compare to a FM8 or DX7
And please don't hurry with the sample playback implementation. There are plenty of thing to be stabilized before that

Personally I'd want to see Synthmaster as a thing what makes me getting rid of Largo and Komplexer. I want only 1 wavetable synth. I even thought about making one geez
