I definitely agree to that. Many people seem to be so very much ready to start nagging about developers and their customer service...Echoes in the Attic wrote:Come on man, what's it been, like a day? In addition, you should consider that this really was not at all a "support" issue (and not even "customer care", but "potential customer" care). Besides, it seems very demanding to ask for a "comparison chart" when there is a fairly detailed description available on their homepage, just because you're not sure if it is worth your time to try the demo(s) ... How much do you expect to be flattered before spending your money on a middle-price-range-plugin ?

Well it seems that some people don't have a clue about marketing. Potential customers are the most important ones in any business. Anyway, the description on their webpage is just a rough overview. When you want to know the differences between both plugins you need to get into the details because feature wise they have an intersection. This is why testing the demo version is not very practical for me because it's very time consuming to find out all the odds and ends which can nonetheless be important for my decision.
However I don't want to start a rant here. It's just that I made some bad experiences with customer service in the past. Especially with German companies so I may be a bit biased. BTW, I am German.

The developers from Sugar-Bytes posted a message saying they are out of town and won't be able to put out an update or post to the forum for the next week. Something about being in Spain. I'm sure if you wait a couple more days, they will be back on the forum. Every tried contacting NI or Ableton support? haha. I think Sugar-Bytes have been pretty good overall.

Ok, lets see what I can do:
Eloquence:
- Is a Step Sequencer that has been made to fit the MIDI spec.
All sequencers and other functions translate perfectly to your connected sound generators, all things that MIDI can do can be done with Eloquence in many possible ways.
- Eloquence can choose from 54 chords, 20 Pitchbends and 18 Rolls on each step.
- The internal synth is just for fiddling on the fly.
Consequence:
- Is a chord groovebox that has been made to be a new approach in creating music. The internal sequencers have been made to trigger the internal instruments in many possible ways.
-Glide, TIE, Each, all these cannot be translated to MIDI, but they offer rhythmic and melodic possibilities that cannot be found in any other instrument.
-In Consequence, up to 16 chords with up to 8 voices each can be created and sequenced. These chords can be played fully or arpeggiated. Chords can also be played via MIDI and mangled via Consequence. People consider Consequence as the best Arpeggiator so far.
- The MIDI sending capabilities of Consequence only deliver the data that fits the MIDI spec and so cannot represent the whole spectrum of Consequence..
The possibilities of rhythmic and melodic structures that you can do with Consequence within seconds are too many-sided to be explained in detail here.
I can only recommend to check out the demo versions and read the manuals.
++++
You can say Eloquence is a Data Generator that can do sound as well.

If you're into sequencing, just get both!
Each of them will inspire you, improve your music and save your time.

TIE glues two gates together to one legato, yes.
Since TIE can be assigned to the instruments individually in Consequence,
one Instrument can play a melody while the other holds a chord for example.
