I'm trying to get close to a sound with Zebra and it's almost there but I would love some suggestions. I'm trying to match the KEY BigSynth preset in the Sylenth1 demo. I basically have 2 sawtooth oscillators on channel 1 into a VCF1 low pass excite filter with some drive and then another 2 sawtooth oscillators on channel 2 into a VCF1 high pass. The oscillators are set to 11 poly and detuned. I've also tuned them the same as the 4 oscillators in Sylenth1 and also spread the stereo width to 100%. I then took an EQ to boost the highs a bit, but I'm still not able to get that top end sheen and crispness that Sylenth1 has - it's almost as if Zebra is TOO warm
Any ideas? I tried using a Shaper to boost the highs and tried adding noise, but to no avail. I'm wondering if I should put all the oscillators on one channel or maybe its the combination of the oscillators and the mixing of them?
Thanks!
C
