Geomorph mode...?Mans wrote:I would be neat to be able to draw osc waveforms the same way you can draw MSEG waveforms: via a snap-able grid and bending the lines.

Haven't kept up with all the updates but there's no grid there? And the bending is done via the points which to me is not nearly as intuitive as directly bending the line.MitchK1989 wrote:Geomorph mode...?Mans wrote:I would be neat to be able to draw osc waveforms the same way you can draw MSEG waveforms: via a snap-able grid and bending the lines.

yes the ability to bend/curve lines in Geomorph/Spectromorph would be super kewl!!!Mans wrote:Haven't kept up with all the updates but there's no grid there? then i can create my batman OSC preset

True. I predicted an update here yeras ago, but havn't done anything yet. The Geo/SpectroMorph GUI Code is by far the oldest and most outdated code in all of Zebra. Everything else has been renovated since or is simply younger.Mans wrote:Haven't kept up with all the updates but there's no grid there? I will eventually touch this area, also because I have additional modes in mind (on top of Geo/Spectro-Blend/Morph).
Also, I want to allow for drag'n'drop support for .wav/.aif soon...

You can do that alraedy. Just hold alt/ctrl (cmd/alt on Mac) while dragging a point. It's rather pathetic though compared to MSEG.djsubject wrote:yes the ability to bend/curve lines in Geomorph/Spectromorph would be super kewl!!!

Hmmm... gotta fire up my Helix for that... can you send me a preset or two? anybody@u-he.comMadrayken wrote:Hmmm... additions for Zebra...
One place where I'd love to see a tweak or two is in the unison area. A lot of the punch in Helix comes from having control over the relative phase of the unison voices. By having the ability to tweak the relative phase offset (random or otherwise), you can get thick fat sounds that either do, or do not have massive punch in the initial part of the envelope.
I think there's even space in the GUI for a 'relative phase offset' wheel.
Nowadays you can already use a free running oscillator and one oscillator that always resets of course.

Anger is a sublimated desire for control.

You can already modulate the eq... and now with the 12 mod slots you have plenty of slots for it!kajiotaku wrote:Modulatable EQs as a module? Like, you can control the freq and the level with LFO or an Envelope or something. That'd be kind of cool.

Nice! I did not know this... I will have to try playing with this later!pdxindy wrote:You can already modulate the eq... and now with the 12 mod slots you have plenty of slots for it!kajiotaku wrote:Modulatable EQs as a module? Would this be like an integrated Wave2Zebra type support, or is this something else?

Maybe, yes. I havn't done any research yet on massive upsampling/downsampling with odd factors, but I guess it'd be similar to what Wav2Z2 does. But maybe not as sophisticated as Vineyard Blueberry Thingelxicano wrote:Would this be like an integrated Wave2Zebra type support, or is this something else?

Sophistication is only on my TODO list, I make no promises. But I make sure it runs in Wine, and drinking wine makes you sophisticated.Urs wrote:Maybe, yes.
