it is rather hard for me to make synthmaster fault, since the newest beta. I'll try it harder ;)

just a note, please fix the issue with the preset authors. there are two scott solidas
and I still miss the live-parameter changes switch

Well, I might try it in 2.1, but technically that's hard for some discrete parameters, such as filter type, osc algorithm type (additive/wavetable). Based on those parameters I set some function pointers (C++ jargon, sorry) when note on is received, so that's the technical limitation.

mainly i was pointing towards the cutoff, not the filter type
but, as you like it ;)

Hiya, I just tried an experiment,

I went to the vst plugins folder in FL and Removed preset folders one by one leaving in only the Bulent folder as I went, when scrolling through each sound in each folder I got through 4-6 sounds and Crash :(

Then I removed all preset folders and putting back each folder individualy and scrolled through the sounds and again got a crash after about 6-8 sounds and the last test was with only the Bulent folder in and I scrolled through each sound and no crash! I think SM does not like the other sounds?? :-o

I'll try this on my Vista PC later, hope this helps :)

So, my main problem is that I can't change filter cutoff when I'm playing a midi note (thru my pc keyboard, not my Fatar :( )
(In this f*ckin dorm room, I don't have space here for my keyboard, had to lend it)

I managed to freeze my Ableton 8.03 with Synthmaster. Frozen sound, and imagery; no crash. Had to force-close it
There was an ongoing midi playing, I fiddled with ADSR2 envelope attack/decay settings. (2x detuned unison, 2 additive oscs with a lowpass filter activated, reverb and echo enabled)

Use the mouse wheel, that should help you.

The new beta 25 seems to be quite stable. No crashes in Ableton Live 8 so far. :)

Some patches from Scott Solida seem to use 8 voice unison which results in high CPU use. Many patches still miss categories.

I'll check that out.

As for categories: I'll work on that. also I'm planning to add another "category" so we have 3 different ways of categorizing presets:

1. Instrument Type: Bass, Brass, Lead, Keys, Piano, Pad, etc...
2. Attributes: Analog, Digital, Additive, Wavetable, FM, PM, AM, RM, Physical Model, Tutorial, etc...
3. Style: Pop, Rock, Trance, etc...

This way, one can easily find the presets they're looking for: "Hey I need an FM Bass for Trance" :D

This week hopefuly I'll have time for that as I'm in maintenance mode now!
EDIT: Except 2 things: Addition of preset attributes, and better reverb!

Perhaps allow marking some presets as favourites.
I tried to rename some presets (something descriptive about the sound) and save them under a folder named favourites but it doesn't show up.

Sure thing, how ever I've only picked around in Reaper a little (but it should not take long to get used to)and I have a little bit flue so it may take me till Friday or Saturday to get to it.
I'll you know what I find, Thanks.
