I really recommend to you to take a look at CIRCLE :

Zebra 2 can do much better, and sounds better, but Circle is
extremely easy for noobs like you! :) Just kidding.
(Actually zebra is a bit difficult for me too. )
It's semi-modular, but the interface is completely different and intuitive.
The audio demos are not convincing though...
Thanks, but I know Circle. and have tried it. It's nice and first i thought about getting it, but it didn't convince me to buy it at the end.

I'm not really a first-time noob actually as I know my way around synths like Sylenth1, Massive and even Gladiator :) I'm just not that into the full modular approach like the KarmaFX, VAZ and of course the Zebra  But the sound of Zebra I love
.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Yea ZebraCM is great to learn on. That's what I started with.
If you do get it. Then you can go to this page and download some free presets for it.

It's also worth mentioning ZebraCM presets load just fine into Zebra2. If you're disciplined you can just use those modules alone and it's the same thing.

Don't change OSC fx types, don't draw different OSC1/2 Wave types, and always leave them as geoblend.

The only routing of CM that isn't pre-wired is the FX section.
