It's 69usd for 500+ patches.
I'd get it fast if I didn't have a wife that doesn't let me buy anything. :hihi:

Well most basic leads are covered in Oldskool thats why there are only 4 in Afterskool.

1. Dirty Filter+ is a lead with some growl added to it
2. LFO Lead is a typical 70's funky wah wah like lead.
3-4 Muffled Wah Lead A+B are also aimed at synth funk.

For trance dance leads its just a matter of detuning taste and using Band Pass or High Pass filter on the sound instead of a Low Pass Filter. In most cases ;)

Thanks for that hint. I tried it on the demo bank and wow..you are right! Changing the filter made it "un-oldskool" in a way: brightened things up for a more modern trance/electronic tone.

I should have known better :)

Thanks MK, you've been very helpful this whole time. I hope to buy the bank (s) sometime soon. i know my $$ will be going to a good guy.

I was going to buy Absynth 4 instead, but I mean..I would have to then buy more banks for that! I spent 200 on zebra, I may as well milk the thing for what it's worth! i think Oldskool will help with that...

Hi Michael,

In the beginning I was waiting for the Mermaids :hihi: , Oldskool is one of my favorites, I use it a lot. I'm waiting for the next Skool activity :D .

Made another movie so if your bored or something then give it a look, might give you an idea or two.

http://www.synthtronic.com/demos/Z2_Automatons_01.wmv (25MB)

The patches in the movie are all centred around automation within the patch, meaning you feed it notes and the patch will do the rest.

First, Strummer of 74, is video is a kinda of struming thing by using LFO filter sweeps. Next, 7th Balance, is a fully automated Ambience patch using Random LFO's and MSEG. Next is a fun Mini House DrumKit and last is 5 automated patches playing the same notes but each of them have its own function.

Have fun watching

This video is a pleasure, Michael!

I want to say how wonderful Zebra sounds, and how much I love your patches, but I'm afraid of sounding like a teenager in love. :)

Really nice stuff, thanks for the demo, it is inspiring and instructive.

Would five Zebras be considered a "heard?"

Hey Michael, I really liked the latest vid. For some reason that I can't quite put my finger on Strummer of 74 very much put me in mind of Goldfrapp's latest album. :)

Very nice work Michael! 8)

(Reminds me though that I have to fix the MSEG indicator line... it tends to jump randomly if played polyphonic  )

Hi Michael,

I really enjoyed your first vid. One thing I liked about it was to actually see which patches the sounds were coming from. If I were buying and shopping via the video, that would be useful to me.

I have already purchased OldSkool and AfterSkool. As such, the videodid remind me of some of the patches that I have overlooked and will revisit.

I haven't looked at the second video yet, but I will shortly.

Well one of my ideas is to take some of the best mp3 demos i got and use them for a minimalistic chill out synth album. Could be fun. :)

BTW, i've made those videos available on YouTube now:

A little bump for my Youtube page where i post various stuff.

Latest addition to the videos is a cover of Chase by Giorgio Moroder. I tried to stay somewhat faithful to the original except that i have quantized it all over the place :hihi:

Have fun watching :)

EDIT: I used MSEG for the bass seq sweep and for fading in the delay
